Just recently Adriaan received a very positive e-mail in his mailbox after he sent a copy of Caught by the Clock to Germany. Sender was the organiser of RockPalast (www.rockpalast.de). He wrote the following:

Zweimal im Jahr findet im Rockpalast das "Crossroads"-Festival statt. Dort könnte ich mir einen Auftritt gut vorstellen.
Das habe allerdings nicht ich zu entscheiden, dennoch werde ich das aber mal für das Crossroads im März 2005 weiterempfehlen.

Nightlive on Irish radio
Nightlive's cd "Caught by the Clock" is played frequently on South East Radio in Ireland.
Nightlive did a total of three performances in Ireland, one in McDaids in Midleton and two in Casey's Bar in Union Hall.
Other performances were cancelled due to Irish miscommunication and because Adriaan had stomach problems. A complete report including pictures comes later, so keep an eye on the news.
The show in Casey's Bar was a great success. They absolutely want Nightlive to come back: the best band in 30 years! Nightlive and Tabby May have been embraced by the Irish people. Fishermen stayed home, so they didn't have to miss the performance. The usual closing time of the bar was 11pm, but after special requests Nightlive played on and on and played their last song only at 01.45am!
Absolutely to be continued!
Summerparties in Zutphen
Despite rain and heavy thunder there were plenty of people during the performance in the Laarstraat on the stage in front of café De Smoes. Hopefully the weather will be better on August 11th, when Nightlive's playing there again.
Nightlive will play another full evening together with Tabby May.
Festival in Vorden
A great performance for approximately 800 people at a perfectly organised festival. Kas Bendjen had placed an enormous stage with a great light show (pictures will be published later).
Even if Nightlive isn't a party and coverband (the other six participating bands mostly were), great critics from the jury.
Quote Alan Gascoigne (guitarist Normaal): "Jullie moeten op veel grotere festivals spelen" ("You have to play at bigger festivals").
Quote Herman from Kas Bendjen: "Man, wat heb ie een kraakheldere stem" ("Man, he's gotta cristal clear voice")., after which Adriaan left with a big red blush, he's so shy!
Radio Twente FM
Saturdaynight August 28th is the night when everyone can listen and look at Nightlive play live for Radio Twente FM.
Listen to the radio (for frequencies check their website) and watch through their internetwebcam also through their website.
This "Nightlive-special" will be recorded and new songs will be played!

VIDEOCLIP/DVD
Nightlive got an offer from starting cineast Lindsey Stone to make a videoclip with From the Heart. A week ago Nightlive had a meeting about it with Lindsey and she's already working on the first shots!!!
The video needs quite a big cast, 115 in total. Everyone who's interested, can apply through Nightlive's mail address.
Next problem appeared to be the location; a church and coffin were needed... not something close at hand. Marleen arranged a coffin within a day with Büwel in Apeldoorn and Adriaan arranged the church in Kranenburg (Gld).
Lindsey Stone completed the script and since all required equipment is available, the recordings can start already in June, even before the Irish tour.
If you want to participate in the video, apply quickly. The auditions are May 31st in the Call of Fame studio, Estlandsestraat 2 in Zutphen.

Nightlive goes Irish!
Previously there have been silent hints that Nightlive would go on a modest tour in Ireland. A lot of phonecalls have been made and a lot of planning has been done and the first (probable) dates are:
July 10th 2004 Clonakilty O Donnal's
July 12th 2004 Bantry Muskerry Arms
July 14th 2004 Cork Cork Opera House
July 16th 2004 Baltimore Festival
There's a good chance that the program will grow, but you will be informed about that at a later point.
During the whole tour Tabby May will be playing the support act (check also www.tabbymay.nl). Tabby runs her own incredible "one woman show"; she plays a fabulous mix of reputed bands and singers like Dubliners, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shania Twain en Dixie Chicks. Ofcourse she will also play her own songs during her show. Her songs are a "must-hear"!
Her beautiful voice will also be singing a number of duets with Adriaan's guinnessvoice. Be surprised!!
Another piece of news is that drummer Ben Nieuwenhuis, due to personal circumstances, isn't going to be able to come along and he pointed Laurens (Lars) Kockelkoren as stand-in. This virtuoso got his fame in bands like Atra La Crima (Progrock) and Misantropical (Heavy Metal). He's also the most-wanted stand-in and session drummer for Call of Fame.
GP of Vorden
Nightlive will play during the GP of Vorden on 23rd of July. More information about the festival can be found at www.kasbendjen.com. Since Adriaan lived in Vorden for several years, it's going to be feeling like a "home match". However Nightlive will be one of the few bands there not playing in the regional dialect.
Other well-known names: Op Drift (very good band!) De Daltons, Black Cat Society a.m.o.
The festival starts around 19:00 and in custom of the area it's impossible to predict the time of ending.
Rest assured that it's going to be a great festival with an informal, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Be sure to come!
Location is on the market square, across the street from Hotel Bakker, next to the church.

Sunday 22nd of February are the 2004 preliminaries for the Grote prijs van Nederland, the Music Awards Gelderland! Nightlive is going to participate again, like last year.
It all happens in Doetinchem, Café Merleyn, Grutstraat 4. The start is 14:00. The schedule isn't known yet, but as soon as we know when Nightlive plays, it's going to be here in the news.
Something big is going to happen!
The Nightlive performance in Amsterdam was visited by four Irish gents. They were so impressed that Marleen came with the news, after talking to Peter McManus (one of the Irish gents), that Nightlive will most likely do an "IRISH TOUR" this summer!!
Marleen got her hands on all kinds of brochures about trips there and accommodations and is busy planning. The probable date of departure is scheduled for the 9th of July 2004.
In the mean time already a number of bands have shown interest to come along and play as pre-act. The Nightlive-members are considering and choose on short notice who will accompany them on the trip.
Erik and Ben are checking the possibilities to make a live-recording of this trip.
Good critics for the CD
As you may have read in the guestbook, the Nightlive CD Caught by the Clock has received very good critics at Platomania (click the link, go to 'Artikelen' and 'nieuwste recensies', in the list you'll find Nightlive - Caught by the Clock. The critics are in Dutch)! Even better critics than a number of famous names!
And... the CD is now available in all Plato shops throughout the Netherlands!
Vota also for "Caught by the Clock" at Platomania and you can add your own critics!
As if one isn't enough...!
Nightlive is working on the contents of the second CD! More information about this will be available soon. Keep an eye on the news!

Happy New Year!
First of all best wishes for 2003. Hope that it'll be a successful year!
There some small updates.
The sales of the new CD is going in slow pass. You see here a little picture of the shelves at Music All In.
Notice the Nightlive CD between Michael Jackson's newest and Bruce Springsteen's newest? Those two men must be SO proud to be allowed next to Nightlive on the shelves! :o)
The Nightlive guys did the interview with "De Stentor". The article will appear in thursday's (15th of January) paper.
And... There are some new music-parts added to the downloads section, all coming from the new CD.
